1 – baseball reference. A shortstop is the person between 2nd and 3rd base who's supposed to try to catch the ball… so he's saying he's constantly on guard for anything his love interest might throw his way.
2 – he's intrigued by this lady (who he calls baby girl)… and he also calls her 'ma' not because she is his mother, but because it's another term used to show that you care for a female. He's telling her this because he isn't the type to break up relationships, but since he feels so strongly about her, he wants to know what they should do about it.
3 – he's saying that he knows how other males act if they know another guy is after their lady… clearly they get upset. (not supporting the use of the n-word…but you asked)
4 – he really admires her style and her attitude. he thinks it's cool that she will drive by with her man's convertible to pick him up
5 – (see #4)…her whole act is so daring, it's "gangsta"… as in almost dangerous, but in an exciting and admirable way.
6 – "dirty" is his love interest's man… he's saying he doesn't expect their relationship to end immediately since they are together for different reasons (length of time, etc.). He calls him "dirty" in reference to where he's from (the dirty South)… it's as if he's saying "you and mr. down south"
