They are going to moon.
At some point they must pass behind the moon and thus be out of contact with the earth (because there was no communication satellite system in orbit around the moon).
So the statement was from Mission Control
All your systems are looking good going around the corner, and we'll see you on the other side.
The corner is the point at which they lose radio contact with earth.
The other side is when they reappear from behind the moon.
